NBN Commentary-
So I been dabbling with some live
broadcasting on the blogtalkradio.com/nativeguy site, and it occurred to me
most recently, aside from the fact that blog radio isn’t easy, though the topics
today may be easy to find, however, the reality is without a for sure game plan
of who your target audience is and just taking an idea because a few of friends
thinks it is great, then like me you wonder how do you get people to listen? Whether
your niche or brand is commentating on the politics of the world, to the
everyday lifestyle and genres of music, books, artists (you get the idea) which
can be explored, or the business professional drawing people to a seminar or
new book, being able to get the audience to not only listen, but to take
something away from the blog is just as important. Why? And, how or what are a
few ways can one use to find how there blogs and programs can stand out, less
the way of spending hundreds of dollars on having a professional market for
you?
First, I invite you the reader to
take a little listen to some of the past blog topics on the Native Broadcast
Network, there you will see the guest range from Native American Hip hop
artist, new music artist from country to indie, as well business professional
sharing some insight into the nature of what it is that they do. As you listen,
the key thing that each one of the guest’s has, is a story. From the hip hop
artist to the new authors, each are sharing a piece of the work that they have
produced, and are bringing the audience a chance to learn more, not just only
the new material, but the reality of what it takes, people dedicated to the
passion they love. Sometimes, depending on the subject, it may not have the
reach or impact which is desired, but that is ok.Why? The reason is a lot more
complex than you may think, but some key points which some of my past guest
shared are true gems in researching this particular blog.
Remember back in the first
paragraph finding your niche or brand is key! What is it you want to convey to
your listening audience? Who are you trying to reach? As a great guest brought
out remember there are millions of people who are trying the same techniques,
studying and listening or reading ways to improve their business, so you really
have to look and focus on getting your brand to standout. How? Well, depending
on your niche, your brand, if you want to get people to visit your page, listen
to your blog, hear your music, then in turn make a purchase, recommendation or even
share of your material, then you need to focus on your target market. As a
person who enjoys business, if your target market is the business professional
of like mind, looking for topics which could help improve or even give ideas to
benefit there company would be useful to reach those in that market. Though the
example is vague, it is a key thing to understand in trying to make your brand
stand out. Why?
As mentioned, here is an invitation
to listen to the past guest whom have brought great topics of interests by
sharing there what it is they do, and how you the audience can become involved
to even follow them on the social media. Each guest has brought brands from
Native hip hop, Indie music, educators, authors, and business professional
sharing bits of information which tells you the tale of their journey to what
they have created! Making your brand stand out above others takes work, takes
some understanding of who and what points your wanting to make. This means
taking time to understand the points which will help benefit to make your brand
reach even farther! Key in on the purpose as to why people need to hear your
blog, why they should download your music, and this will help your brand stand
out!
